Privacy Policy
The short version
- We do not collect your email address, real name, or photo.
- We do not show ads, use tracking tools, or sell anything about you.
- You can delete your account at any time, and everything we keep about it goes with it.
Who can play
You must be 13 or older to create an account.
What we keep, and why
- Your username and the character you pick, so other players know who you are.
- An anonymous ID from Google, if you sign in with Google. It is a random number that stands for your Google account, so we know it is you next time. We do not ask Google for your email, name, or photo, and Google does not send them.
- When you agreed to this policy, and which version.
- Your game record: games played, wins, badges, titles, and settings such as sound volume. Your stats are only shown to you. Other players see your username, plus any badges and title you choose to show.
- Feedback you send with the feedback button: your message, your username, the page you were on, and your browser and screen size, so we can find and fix what you describe. It is kept to improve the game, even if you later delete your account.
- A sign-in cookie on your device, so you stay signed in for up to 90 days. We store only a scrambled copy of it, which cannot be used to sign in.
What we do not keep
- Chat messages, clues, and guesses exist only while a game room is open. They are never saved to our database, and they are gone when the room closes.
- Our server sees your IP address, as every website does, to connect you and to stop people from flooding the game. It is kept in memory for a few minutes, not saved to our database.
On your device
Your browser also remembers a few things on your device only: sound settings, the room choices you made as host, and whether the chat is folded. You can clear them in your browser settings.
Services we use
- Google, for signing in (and only if you choose to sign in with Google).
- Google Fonts, for the lettering. Your browser downloads the fonts from Google, so Google sees that request.
- Railway, which runs our server and database.
- GitHub, where we keep and sort feedback, privately.
- Cloudflare, which manages our web address.
These companies have their own privacy policies and may keep standard technical logs.
Your choices
- Change your username once every 30 days.
- Delete your account from your account menu. It is removed right away, along with your record, badges, and settings.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will ask you to agree again before you play.
